My Journey Begins Here
Here’s how I’m making my dream of traveling the world a reality… without breaking the bank! And you’ll want to do it too.

Two Words.. Au Pairing..
It was 3 o’clock in the morning in Milan, in a few hours I would be waking up to catch my flight home… But while I was laying there reminiscing on my three week solo trip I was crying. I wasn’t ready to leave such a beautiful world and get back to reality.

I had always dreamt of living abroad but when I wanted to take the jump I wasn’t emotionally ready. So instead of packing my bags to the fashion capitol of the world I was trading in my Leather Heeled Boots for Workout Clothes and Cleaning Supplies.

You are probably wondering why in the world I would do that? Well this city girl also loves getting her boots dusty at a motocross training facility. So I decided to live with 30 amazing people that became my family, and at that point in life that is exactly what I needed..

Okay now that I have you caught up it is time to get back to my story.. Milano 3AM I had to be up in 3 hours to head to the airport. But instead of getting some shut eye, I got some insight on what my new life would consist of. When I walked the streets of Milan I saw nanny after nanny walking the children and at that moment I knew that I could combined my love for children and love for travel.

I signed up to http://www.aupairworld.com and started my profile. Question after question and about 15 minutes later they were all filled out. From “Pictures” to “About Me’s” and everything in between it was all complete. All I had to do was press the “Submit” button, which was the most nerve racking and exciting moment of my life…

June 3rd 7 AM at the airport. I had just finished through security and was sitting at my gate when I decided to open my search engine and log in to Au Pair World… I WAS SHOCKED BY WHAT I SAW. My profile had only been up for 3 hours and I already have 13 families interested in me.. By the time I landed at LAX I had 25 MORE, a week had gone by and I had a total of 75 families messaging me to welcome me into their lives…

And my life? Well that was about to change… But you’ll have to wait to hear about that as the plane was now ready for take off.. Catch you next time..
